Tomboy Tavern

Tomboy Tavern is a cozy restaurant bar located in Mountain Village. It offers seating for up to 75 guests, or 120 guests for cocktail hour. It’s only available for a reception during the summer season. The food here is AMAZING! The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and cozy. There is plenty of space for a DJ, a dancing area, and your guests get their own little booths to have dinner at. Sunset at San Sophia Overlook

Since there are two time slots per day for a wedding at San Sophia Overlook, you’re either picking mid day which is hours before sunset, or you’re picking the evening slot which is 3:30-6pm. For some months of the year, the evening slot would be absolutely perfect for capturing sunset photos. Depending on what your day looks like though, the earlier time slot might be your only option. If this is the case, talk with your wedding planner and see if you’re allowed to go back up to the overlook for sunset photos! It doesn’t hurt to ask, and the gondola is open during sunset, so it would be SO easy to hop back on the gondola and head on up for sunset photos.

Once you get up to the overlook you’ll notice there is a big grassy area allowing for up to 250 guests. Leading up to the massive wood ceremony deck is a grassy aisle, and a large granite step leading into the aisle. The venue takes on the burden of providing and setting up chairs for all of your guests. There is also an option to add on a satellite bar at the overlook which is perfect for the time guests mingle and take in the views. **Pro Tip** Allow for time for the guests to enjoy the view, mingling, and taking pictures at the overlook. It’s an amazing view and not giving them time to take pictures would just be wrong.

There are two time slots available each day for a San Sophia Overlook wedding. 12-3 pm. And 3:30 – 6 pm.

Although I’m not originally from Colorado, the mountains called to me and now I call them home. Grand Junction, CO is my home now! Just 30 miles from the Utah border, an hour and a half from Moab, and an hour and a half from Telluride, two hours from Breckenridge – I could keep going but I just love how it’s the perfect “junction” (see what I did there). It’s the best. I couldn’t think of a better place to call home, and to work and play!

This business has become so much more than a job and I feel truly honored to call so many clients my friends. It would be a pleasure to work with you and your soon-to-be spouse as we plan and execute your dream San Sophia Overlook wedding!
